Ayurvedic Bodywork with Marma therapy (Marma Abyangha):
This is a deeply rejuvenating massage which brings nourishment to the tissues, cells and energy channels (Nadis/Meridians & Chakras). You will experience deeper pressure to facilitate healing and relaxation to the muscles and bring calmness to the mind and nervous system. This is a whole body massage involving the back, arms, hands, neck, belly, legs feet, hips. The oils are heated to a comfortable temperature and have a warming and calming effect on the body and nervous system. The oil is infused with Ayurvedic herbs for individual body-mind constitution composed of a Dosha, a combination of the five different elements. Using Ayurvedic oils in massage is a potent contributor at maintaining harmony and balance. Due to the extremely small size of the oil molecule, Ayurveda oils penetrate the skin easily and transport the healing properties of nature, directly to the cells in the body. Oils used can vary depending on the season and the individual constitution (Dosha). All oils used are organic and have a base of Sesame, Olive or Coconut Oil.Â
Whilst there is focus on nourishing the body, there is also opening and activation of the Marma points (Vital life force doorways/Points).Â
Marmas help maintain our immune system and can be treated in order to boost its powers. Besides being used to stimulate and regulate the functions of internal organs, they can be worked on to stimulate unconscious bodily processes, mental /sensory responses or emotional reactions. Treating them can release negative emotions and remove mental blockages, including those of a subconscious nature, such as addictions.
This deeply healing therapy is beneficial for the nervous system and immune system and supports the healing of many dis-eases in the body and mind.
